Answer

  1. How do I know if my website corresponds to your ethics? When you subscribe and when you post your banner in our system, indicate a URL which addresses to your pages. The evaluation of the ethical correspondence will be made once you’ve subscribed and every time you include or modify a banner.

  2. What should I have to subscribe to your circuit?  First of all you absolutely must have a website or a blog. You also need to have a banner 468×60 which you should upload somewhere on the web as well as a corresponding URL address.

  3. What’s a banner? It’s a kind of advertisement, an advertisement  used and found on the net which contains a link. It can have various shapes and forms or can even just be composed of words or a written text. In our circuit it is momentarily possible to include only predefined banners: 468×60 pixel format .

  6. How can I upload my banner on the internet? You need a site on the web (you can find them at very convenient prices) and by using “FTP” programs you will upload the site on the server. There are many instruction manuals (sometimes called tutorials) available on the net  where you can find out about how uploading can be done.

  7. How should I  proceed once everything’s ready? Login and be sure to be logged in correctly on www.stradaalternativa.it , click on “include new banner”, fill in the empty spaces – website address (insert site URL including http://); banner URL (insert banner URL here); - Tag ALT (text in alternative to image) Don’t forget to save procedures! At this point you’ll read your HTML code which you will copy and paste within your site or your blog. This will allow you to host a banner from our circuit.

  8. What does Tag ALT mean? This is an alternative text to banner images, necessary for those who cannot visualize or see images on their browser, especially important to research engines. We suggest you digit the name of your website and a brief description of what it includes/promotes  directly in the Tag ALT field. The description should really be extremely brief. For example: creative microcosm  - independent books and games.

  9. Where can I find my HTML code? Should you have not copied the HTML code you can find it in the following way; Be sure you’ve logged in correctly, turn to menu: banner/468×60/code for  banner exchange.

  10. The address is incorrect. What should I do? You’ve probably forgotten to include the http://. All you need  to do is change/modify the inserted address.

  11. My website doesn’t accept JavaScript code. What should I do? If you’re a blogspot user then you have a differentiated code. Please contact us indicating the website that doesn’t accept/register the given code and, we will try to find a mediation. Not all websites accept banners; for example: our circuit doesn’t accept pages  hosted on myspace.

  12. I’ve compromised the layout by pasting the code. What should I do? Before making changes on your website please make sure you ALWAYS make a copy of the backup (what we call a safety copy) doubling the entire site or just the  page you wish to modify and, keeping the copy in a safe place where you’re sure you’ll find it should you need it. If you’ve compromised the paging  you need to restore the backup copy and start anew by inserting the banner exchange code. Should you NOT have an extra copy of the backup then the only solution is to eliminate the previously made changes by returning to your original/initial page.
