How to use FTP

FireFtp is a free and safe FTP customer for Mozilla Firefox thus allowing an easy and intuitive access to ftp servers.
Very often (almost always I’d dare say), many website masters necessitate transferring files within their own site area. This can be done with the ftp system. There are many clients who are just right for this kind of operation; some are extremely valid, others less (sometimes simply because they’re too complicated);amongst these we’d like to cite Filezilla, a program which, according to my opinion, is one of the best in this field. Lately I’ve been visiting an infinite number of existing extensions for Firefox and since my computer IS always open on Firefox I’ve decided to try this ftp customer called FireFTP (why open a new program when I can do everything with firefox??). Just to start, you should install this extension , and you should do so by clicking HERE. From here you can go directly to the extension’s home: click.
Once you’ve installed fireftp you will be requested to reboot firefox, and after having done this go to: Instruments –> FireFTP. The main face to the extension will open just like a expansion card (tab). Now go to the upper left hand side where you should find something similar:

Manage Accounts Carlosweb.it Connect
Click on Manage Accounts, and the following will open on you:
<p align=”center”><img src=”http://www.carlosweb.net/old-images/fireftp/accountmanager.gif” alt=”accountmanager” /></p>
Include your Host (for example: ftp.carlosweb.it) which, unless you wish to make changes, should remain your Account Name for ever; you needn’t do anything else besides include your authentication data such as login and username, and click on ok. Leave the [Connection] and [Advanced] cards as they are. After having done all of this all you need to do is click on Connect in the upper left hand side. From here onwards you’ll only be using the Upload and Download arrows which will allow you to exchange data between our computer (the two windows on the left) and our website (the two windows on the right). In fact, you need only select the files you wish to transfer and digit one of the two arrows.
<p align=”center”><img src=”http://www.carlosweb.net/old-images/fireftp/up_down.gif” alt=”updown” /></p>
Digit the upmost arrow and you will download from the website onto the computer. Digit the lower arrow you will transfer data (upload) from the computer to the website. All you need to do to disconnect is to click on Disconnect (always in the upper left hand side in place of Connect). I forgot to mention that surfing the website is identical to surfing our personal computers: all you need to do is digit twice to open the card.
